In conventional pressure controllers, the accuracy specification typically refers to the internal pressure sensor's accuracy. The MC300's output relative accuracy of ±0.04% is specified for the pressure actually output from the controller, not the measurement accuracy of the internal sensor. This allows users to clearly understand the basis for pressure accuracy in inspection and testing as a specification value.

12-Month Accuracy Guarantee

The MC300's output relative accuracy of ±0.04% is maintained throughout the 12-month accuracy guarantee period. Since accuracy variations due to aging are also covered within this guarantee, users can operate with stable accuracy not only immediately after calibration but throughout the entire period until the next calibration.

High-Speed, Smooth Pressurization

The MC300 achieves a response time of less than 5 seconds* and low overshoot simultaneously under typical conditions. Its needle valve mechanism performs precise flow control as the pressure approaches the setpoint, enabling high-speed pressurization while reducing the risk of overpressure at the DUT (Device Under Test).

This combination of speed and stability is derived from the characteristics of the MC300's needle valve design. In conventional solenoid-valve-based pressure controllers, pressure is regulated by rapid valve opening and closing, which tends to create a trade-off: increasing speed leads to greater overshoot, while prioritizing stability slows the response. The MC300's needle valve mechanism uses a motor-driven needle to adjust airflow continuously and smoothly, eliminating this trade-off. Near the setpoint, particularly fine flow control is performed, allowing the pressure to reach a stable level quickly while suppressing overshoot.

Long-Life Needle Valve Design

The needle valve mechanism employed in the MC300 also offers the significant advantage of structural longevity. The needle valve controls airflow by continuously adjusting the position of a motor-driven needle. Unlike solenoid valve systems, it does not involve rapid valve opening and closing, resulting in minimal component wear and stable operation over extended periods.

Key Functions

Output Division and Auto-Step Output

The MC300 features an output division function that divides the set pressure into a desired number of output steps. By setting the target pressure to match the full scale of the DUT and specifying the number of divisions, users can perform step-up and step-down operations at the touch of a button.

Output Division Outputs the set pressure divided at a ratio of n/m. The number of divisions m can be set from 1 to 25, and n/m can be set up to 100%.
Auto-Step Automatically executes divided outputs sequentially. Interval time: 10 s to 600 s (resolution: 5 s). Repetitions: 1 or infinite (can be paused).

Sweep Output and Repeat

The MC300's sweep output function delivers smooth, continuous linear pressure output from zero to full scale. The increase/decrease direction is switchable, making it suitable for applications such as pressure switch actuation verification, meter testing, and clog detection.

When combined with the repeat function, the sweep or auto-step output can be executed continuously, improving the efficiency of automated testing. The sweep output interval time can be set from 15 s to 600 s (resolution: 5 s), and the number of repetitions can be selected from 1 or infinite (can be paused).

Pressure Output Status Monitoring

The MC300 displays pressure values measured by the built-in sensor on the screen in real time. It also supports analog output (D/A output), enabling output to external recorders and measurement systems.

With the comparator output function, the display color changes from white to green when the output pressure reaches the specified range, allowing the pressure stability status to be visually confirmed at a glance.

Product Lineup

The MC300 offers two gauge pressure models to suit different applications. The 10 kPa range model is designed for precision control in the low-pressure range, while the 200 kPa range model covers a wide pressure range including blood pressure monitor testing. Both models deliver an output relative accuracy of ±0.04%.

Model MC300-G01 is a gauge pressure 10 kPa range pressure controller. With a setting resolution of 0.001 kPa and output noise of ±0.005 kPa, it provides precise control performance suited for applications requiring high-accuracy pressure control in the low-pressure range.

200 kPa Range Model

Model MC300-G03 is a gauge pressure 200 kPa range pressure controller. It covers the pressure range up to 40 kPa (300 mmHg) required for blood pressure monitor testing with ample margin, and offers a setting resolution of 0.01 kPa and output noise of ±0.04 kPa.

Blood Pressure Monitor Testing

Blood pressure monitor manufacturing inspections and compliance testing require accurate pressure control up to 40 kPa (300 mmHg). The MC300's 200 kPa range model covers this pressure range with ample margin and can be used for both production and development of blood pressure monitors and medical devices with integrated blood pressure measurement functions.

The MC300 is capable of generating negative pressure without the use of a vacuum pump, allowing functional testing under negative pressure conditions specified by applicable standards using a single instrument. Leak/Airtightness Testing of Enclosures

Leak (airtightness) testing is commonly used to evaluate the waterproof and dustproof performance of enclosures using the pressure change method. In this approach, the test object is pressurized to a specified starting pressure and, after a defined stabilization period, the pressure change is measured to confirm compliance with allowable leakage limits.

The reliability of the test depends on the stability and repeatability of the starting pressure. During development and testing of submersible water level meters, creating actual water levels — for example, 20 meters — is challenging. Instead, a pressure controller is used to apply equivalent air pressure to simulate an underwater environment.

The MC300 provides rapid pressurization to the target pressure with minimal overshoot and extremely low hysteresis, delivering stable, high-quality pressure control for water level meter applications.
